Idyll Farms Temptation
Eve may have tempted Adam with an apple, but it's not a sin to love this amazing cheese.
Temptation is an incredible raw milk, tomme-style cheese from award-winning Northern Michigan farmstead cheesemaker, Idyll Farms.
What makes TEMPTATION so special?
To start with, Temptation is aged in Idyll's state of the art cheese cellar for a minimum of 60 days, on specially aged kiln dried wood harvested during the last full moons of December.
During the affinage process, each round of Temptation is hand washed daily with a hard cider made from Idyll Farms harvested apples. The result is a semi-hard cheese with complex layers of aroma, texture, and flavor that transitions from mild to sharp as it ages.
ABOUT IDYLL FARMS:
Idyll Farms is a goat farmstead and creamery owned by Mark and Amy Spitznagel in Northport, Michigan, a small village perched on the edge of Lake Michigan. Their certified-humane alpine goats are pasture-fed through managed intensive rotational grazing, which is great for the pastures, the goats, and best of all, the cheese (not to mention the sustainability of our planet).
Each cheese is approximately 6 lb in weight
