Distillerie du Perigord Elixir of Morels
The Distillerie du Perigord's expertise in distilling eaux de vie and in processing fruits is evident in this magical new elixir, created from rare and precious morel mushrooms, capturing their unique essence in a bottle. Unlike typical truffle and mushroom oils, which are made with artificial flavorings, Elixir of Morel is all natural, made from carefully selected morels and the finest regional ingredients. Delicately seasoned, this natural infusion will add a heady aroma of wild morel mushrooms to many dishes.
Use it to deglaze, marinate, and flambe meat, poultry, and fish dishes and to subtly perfume risottos, soups, and purees. The taste is concentrated because the alcohol used to macerate the morels evaporates upon cooking, leaving behind their essence: a full, rich, and earthy taste. Just add one tablespoonful per person at the end of cooking, stir and serve.
