Idyll Farms Mont Idyll
Idyll Farms Mont Idyll is inspired by the traditional Valençay cheese from the Loire Valley. Named a “Best Artisanal Cheese” by Food & Wine Magazine. The soft ripened rind is delicately painted with vegetable ash. Fluffy, smooth and citric when young, it evolves into a firmer interior with a developed creamline under the rind as it ages.
Pairing Suggestions: Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc, Dry Rose, Gamay Noir, Cabernet Franc, Dry Hard Apple Cider, Idyll Farms Cherry Butter, pickled beets or radishes, clover honey, walnuts, apple, and pear.
ABOUT IDYLL FARMS
Idyll Farms is a goat farmstead and creamery owned by Mark and Amy Spitznagel in Northport, Michigan, a small village perched on the edge of Lake Michigan. Their certified-humane alpine goats are pasture-fed through managed intensive rotational grazing, which is great for the pastures, the goats, and best of all, the cheese (not to mention the sustainability of our planet).
