Enjoy this fresh and sweet Michigan mixed fruit crisp dessert featuring the finest blend of Michigan-grown tart cherries, blueberries and apples.
INGREDIENTS:
Topping:
- 2 cups old fashioned rolled oats
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 8 Tbsp butter (I stick), diced into small pieces
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- ½ tsp nutmeg
- ½ tsp ginger
Fruit mixture:
- 1 2-lb bag Michigan Farm to Freezer West Michigan Smoothie Blend
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup all-purpose flour
- ½ tsp cinnamon
PREPARATION:

Remove fruit from freezer and allow to partially defrost at room temp for about 30 minutes
Toss fruit with flour, salt, cinnamon and sugar; set aside while you mix up the crumble
Preheat oven to 375°
In large mixing bowl, mix oats, flour, sugar, spices, and salt to combine. Using a pastry cutter or two knives, cut the butter pieces into the flour mixture, until it has the consistency of cookie dough.
Put the fruit mixture into an approximately 11” x 7” heavy baking dish. Top the fruit evenly with the crumble mixture and place on a foil lined sheet pan. Bake for 45-60 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
